Meet the Founder of Toot Seed
Austin Toot grew up on a farm near Nevada, Iowa, raising corn, soybeans and farrow-to-finishing hogs. Austin was very active in the farming community and playing sports through school.
After graduating from Iowa State with a degree in Ag Business, Austin spent seven years as a sales agronomist for a cooperative. He then worked with Pioneer as a sales promoter and sales rep for three years before founding Toot Seed.
Austin and his wife, Hillary, have two children and remain active on the family farm in Nevada.
Austin and Hillary support their local community by sponsoring local events. Toot Seed also supports the local 4-H and FFA clubs. They employ students from nearby Iowa State University and Des Moines Area Community College and offer special events to help build the next generation of ag professionals.
Toot Seed was the recipient of the Pioneer Pillar Award in 2020 and has been in the Pioneer Pacesetters Club multiple times, among other honors. Austin has also served on the Pioneer Representative Council Board.
